Newton: A Perspective

A hero can be anyone, even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy’s shoulders to let him know the world hadn’t ended.                     -Batman, The Dark Knight Rises Newton is a story that resonates with this quote. Its a story of a common man who sets on a mission to conduct fair elections in Konar, Chattisgarh amidst resistance from maoists and naxalites. Pairing up with corrupt government officials and promising yet indifferent co-workers, honesty and perseverance are Newton’s best allies. It was Thursday the penultimate day of the month. I had to complete the article. I had been working meal to meal to meet the deadline. As I was busy hitting the keys on the keyboard my inbox buzzed. I opened the inbox to find aunt Aara’s mail. I quickly opened it and it read, Hi George, I want you to drop everything and head Boston. ASAP. A treasure awaits for you. Yours Loving, Aunt Aara I was left surprised by aunt’ mail. A million thoughts ran through my mind. Why is she asking me to leave everything and visit her? What’s the treasure she’s talking about? Without a second a thought I saved my work, packed my laptop and bag. Heading towards the airport I took the first flight to Boston. As soon as I landed in Boston I got another mail from her.
